New Year Garland

This.

We experimented with hyacinths to mimic the jasmine garlands that are generally made throughout Southeast Asia.  This is just the right time to experiment because the Southeast Asian new year is upon us.  Wouldn’t it be nice to make offerings with these pretty garlands?  We’d think so.

Oh, you aren’t celebrating the new year?  What about adorning that special Mother’s Day gift with one of these?  It’s coming up next month!

Note though, hyacinths don’t last as long as jasmine do without water.

Happy Burmese, Cambodian, Lao, Thai new year!
